Cancellation Policy

We get it, plans change and life happens. Here's exactly how cancellations work with us, depending on what you've booked.

Private Yacht Charter

Payment structure: 50% deposit at booking confirmation, 50% due on the day of the charter.

If you cancel more than 14 days before your charter, you receive a full refund of your deposit. If you cancel 7 to 13 days before, you receive 50% of your deposit back. If you cancel less than 7 days before, no refund is available.

If you haven't yet paid the second instalment at the time of cancellation, only the deposit is affected. The remaining balance will not be charged.

Yacht Share

Payment structure: 100% upfront at booking confirmation.

If you cancel more than 14 days before your booking, you receive a full refund. If you cancel 7 to 13 days before, you receive 50% back. If you cancel less than 7 days before, no refund is available.

Yacht share spots are matched to a specific date and group. Because we build the group around your booking, last-minute cancellations affect other guests too, which is why we can't offer flexibility inside 7 days.

Villa Rentals

Payment structure: 50% deposit to reserve. The remaining 50% is due according to the individual villa provider's terms, typically 4 to 6 weeks before your arrival date.

If you cancel more than 45 days before arrival, you receive a full refund of your deposit. If you cancel 30 to 44 days before arrival, you receive 50% of your deposit back. If you cancel 14 to 29 days before arrival, no refund of the deposit is available. If you cancel less than 14 days before arrival, no refund is available and any outstanding balance may still be due depending on the villa provider's terms.

Villa bookings involve third-party providers with their own contractual requirements. In some cases, the villa owner's cancellation terms may be stricter than ours. We will always inform you of these before you confirm your booking.

Weather Cancellations

Your safety comes first, always. If dangerous weather conditions including strong winds, storms, or rough seas make it unsafe for the vessel to operate, you will receive a full refund or a free rebooking. Your choice.

This applies to private charters and yacht share bookings. For villa bookings, weather does not typically qualify as a cancellation reason unless access to the property is formally restricted by local authorities.

Cancellations by Boatox or a Third-Party Provider

If we or a third-party provider need to cancel your booking for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.

If cancellation is due to circumstances beyond our control, including government restrictions, natural disasters, or strikes, we will offer a rebooking where possible. If rebooking is not possible, a refund of amounts paid to us will be issued. Third-party provider terms may apply separately.

How to Cancel

To cancel a booking, contact us via WhatsApp at +34 641 45 65 88 or by email at legal@boatoxibiza.com. Please include your full name, booking date, and the service you reserved. Cancellations are only valid once confirmed by us in writing.

Refunds

Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days after confirmation. Boatox is not responsible for any additional fees or delays caused by your bank or payment provider. Last updated: April 2026
